Robert Derry-Evans
Robert Derry-Evans is a specialist in the management of large professional services organisations. He spent 33 years with, successively, McKenna & Co, Cameron McKenna and CMS. Between 2003 and 2008 Robert served as Executive Partner of CMS, the European legal organisation that combined nine independent European law firms, including CMS Cameron McKenna. In such capacity he helped to develop the CMS brand and profile to become one of the leading European law firms. From 1994 to 1997 he was Managing Partner of McKenna & Co, and from 1997 to 2000 of the newly merged Cameron McKenna. He played a central role in the merger negotiations in 1996 between Cameron Markby Hewitt and McKenna & Co. He was Managing Partner of the Hong Kong office of McKenna & Co from 1986 to 1989. In his professional practice Robert was a banking partner specialising in project finance and commercial lending acting for banks, issuers and project sponsors.
William Mills
William Mills has more than 10 years’ experience of management consultancy, advising mostly small and medium-sized law firms on planning, strategy, recruitment, appraisal, business development and coaching. He has also advised accountancy firms. He coached many of the staff of DX, the lawyers’ postal service, following a takeover. He was consultant development director with Welsh National Opera (1997-8). Before that, William was a partner at the Cardiff-based firm of Geldards, where he headed the corporate recovery, personal injury and debt recovery teams. He was the liaison partner with the firm’s biggest client, Citibank. He served on the firm’s Management Board from 1984.
Teresa Glover
Teresa Glover has worked for some 20 years in outplacement, recruitment and human resources, advising executives from all sectors at key transition points in their careers. During her career, she has worked as a senior consultant with leading outplacement consultancy Penna Sanders & Sidney (1990-2003), as a recruitment consultant with Courtenay (1985-1990), in HR management with ICI (1979-1985), and in careers advice for graduate alumni within The University of London’s Careers Group (from 2004 to the present). In outplacement consultancy, Teresa has worked with middle and senior management and professionals in law and accountancy firms, the NHS, educational and regulatory bodies, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, telecoms, oil and gas, food and fashion retail, FMCG, engineering and art dealing.
